The Elephant and the Dung Beetle Watercolor Collage 10 x 14 - $10.00; Giclee 15 x 22 - $70.00; The Dung Beetle is barely visible in the lower right corner of the collage. As you probably know, the elephant only partially digests his food. Then the dung beetle comes along and rolls part of his poop incuding grass and seeds into a ball and pushes it along until he comes to a place with no grass. There he pushes the roll under the earth and goes back to start the process all over again. During the rainy season these strategically placed grass seeds and fertilizer begin to grow just as God planned. This makes a small mistakenly thought of unimportant beetle one of the most important ecological animals in Africa.
